Public Information Centres

Two In-Person Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held during the Preliminary Design to present the study process, identify the preferred plan, existing conditions, anticipated environmental impacts and proposed mitigation and to receive input on the proposed works within the study area.

At the time of the PICs, a ‘Notice of Public Information Centre’ will be published in
Durham Kawartha/The Standard newspaper, posted on the project website and sent to the project mailing list to indicate a date and time. The PIC materials will be available for review on this project website or via hard copy upon request.

Transportation Environmental Study Report

Upon completion of the Preliminary Design, a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) will be prepared detailing the existing conditions, socio-economic environment of the study area, the evaluation of alternatives, identify the preferred plan, summary of design features, potential impacts of the undertaking, and required mitigation measures. The TESR will be made available for a 30-day comment period.

At that time, a ‘Notice of TESR Completion’ will be published in Durham Kawartha/The Standard newspaper, posted on the project website and sent to the project mailing list containing dates for the comment period. Stakeholders are encouraged to review the TESR and provide comments. The final TESR will be posted on this website and filed with the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks for approval once complete. Hard copies of the TESR will be available upon request.
